Description
Launching a Cat Toward the Moon
Sushi Catapult is a bright arcade game built around a single, odd goal: a blue cat with a huge appetite wants a lifetime supply of sushi, and the only way to get it is to reach the moon. You operate a giant catapult, and the cat is the projectile. Each launch is a small physics problem—how far can this cat fly, and how much sushi can it eat on the way?
Angle, Power, and Mid-Air Sushi
Before each shot, you drag backward with a mouse or finger to set both the angle and the power of the launch. Release, and the cat sails across the sky. During flight, you guide it toward pieces of sushi scattered in the air. Every piece eaten adds to the total distance and score, so a well-aimed launch that lines up with a trail of sushi will outperform a raw power shot. The further the cat travels, the closer it gets to the moon and the grand prize.
Objectives and Repeat Attempts
Distance alone isn't the only measure of progress. The game sets specific objectives—reach a certain distance, or eat a set number of sushi rolls—and completing them can unlock rewards. Because launches are quick, the loop encourages repeated attempts: adjust aim, watch the trajectory, and refine your timing. The difficulty comes from the increasing distance needed to reach farther targets, not from complex rules.
Who It Suits
The controls are simple enough for children and adults, and the colorful visuals keep the tone light. Sessions are short, so it works as a casual break rather than a long commitment. Players who enjoy precision-based arcade games—where small changes in angle or timing produce noticeably different results—will get the most out of it.
